Arnold Singer founded Warehouse of Fixtures over 60 years ago. By the mid 1970’s his warehouse/showroom at 3720 Laclede Ave had become the place to go for affordable new and used office furniture in St. Louis. The business’ huge success was undoubtedly tied to its focus on treating customers well and providing the best value in new and used furniture. In 2001 the business closed to make way for apartments for SLU students.
In 2004 David Singer, a recent college graduate, began selling off the remainder of the furniture in the 3720 Laclede facility, as a summer job before going to law school. With no marketing of any kind, customers would wander in to find the same value and quality they had come to expect over the years.
The customers kept coming and by the fall of 2004 David decided that he enjoyed buying and selling office furniture, and Warehouse of Fixtures "The Next Generation" was born. Joanne Singer, David’s mother, came on as an owner and full-time CFO. They decided to keep with the same principles and business model Arnold Singer had come up with 60 years ago. The loyalty of past customers and focus on customer service brought success to the new business. Warehouse of Fixtures TNG grew at an astounding rate and by the end of the first year in business David and Joanne were able to lure Dan Lohman, a long time family friend ,came to join the team.
In 2010 Warehouse of Fixtures TNG moved to a new warehouse/showroom facility at 2720 Market St. This location was chosen due to it’s proximity to the previous facility and attractive location near the Wells Fargo/ former AG Edwards Corporate Headquarters.
Today Warehouse of Fixtures TNG continues to grow, more than doubling sales in each of the past two years. Warehouse of Fixtures TNG offers multiple lines of new furniture most notably: Performance Laminate, Global, Evolve, DMI and Indiana Furniture, Lacasse and Hon. Warehouse of Fixtures TNG is a full service dealership offering new and used office furniture, new, used and refurbished cubicles, delivery, installation, space planning, design, cubicle reconfigurations, inventory management, touch-up and refinishing, and upholstery cleaning.
